Common Questions Before You Buy

What's the difference between Type A through F?
Different sizes and weights. Type C (20g) is most compact, Type F (127g, 28.7 cm) is the largest. Types A and D are mid sized 40g brushes. Check the images for visual comparison.
Will it scratch my paint?
Yes. Steel wire is aggressive, designed for rust removal and metal surfaces. Do NOT use directly on painted bodywork. Safe for bare metal, engine bay components, and rusty parts.
What is the nylon pick for?
The nylon pick handles detail work in tight crevices, threads, or small gaps where the steel wire brush is too thick. Softer than steel, won't damage delicate parts.
Can I use it on my engine bay?
Yes, this is a popular use. Removes baked on dirt, rust, and corrosion from metal engine components without damage.
Does it work on rust?
Yes, very effective. Steel wire bristles break up surface rust on metal parts, hardware, tools, and pipework.
