Quick Setup
1. Position the Panel
Place the panel where it gets the most direct sunlight (dashboard, roof, or angled toward the sun). Clean the surface for best output.
2. Connect to Battery
Attach the red alligator clip to battery positive (+), black to negative (-). Or use the USB cable to charge a 5V device directly.
3. Leave It Working
The panel will trickle charge automatically when the sun shines. Built in protections handle overcharge and night drain, so you can leave it connected long term.
Common Questions Before You Buy
Will 30W keep my car battery charged?
Yes for trickle charging during storage or to offset small parasitic loads (alarm, immobiliser, GPS). Not enough to recharge a fully drained battery or run high power accessories.
Can I leave it on the dashboard permanently?
Yes. The panel is heat and UV resistant, designed for permanent outdoor or in vehicle use. Overcharge protection means no risk to your battery.
Does it drain the battery at night?
No. The internal diode blocks reverse current flow when the sun goes down, so the panel only charges, never drains.
What about cloudy days or shade?
Output drops in low light but the panel still produces some current, enough to offset most parasitic loads. Direct sun gives best output.
Can I charge a phone with it?
Yes. Use the included USB female cable to plug in any 5V USB device. Phone, tablet, GPS, or small lights all work.
