How to Install
1. Remove Existing Fuse
Pop the original fuse out of your car's fuse box for the circuit you want to tap (typically a low priority circuit like cigarette lighter or interior light).
2. Insert Fuse Tap
Insert the fuse tap adapter into the empty slot. Put the original fuse in the bottom slot of the tap, and the new fuse for your accessory in the top slot.
3. Connect Accessory
Crimp your new accessory's live wire to the blue terminal on the fuse tap. The accessory is now powered through its own fused circuit.
Common Questions Before You Buy
Will it damage my car's wiring?
No. The fuse tap is a non invasive way to add circuits. It slots into the fuse box like a regular fuse, no cutting, splicing, or wire modification needed.
Which size do I need?
Check the size of fuses in your car's fuse box. Modern cars usually use Small (M) or Medium (L). Older cars often use Mini (S). Compare to your existing fuses.
What amp fuse should I use for my accessory?
Check your accessory's manual for amp draw. Common ratings: 3A for dashcam, 5A for GPS, 10A for LED light bar. Always size the fuse slightly above the accessory's amp draw.
What can I power with this?
Dash cameras, GPS units, USB chargers, LED accessory lights, phone holders, radar detectors, and any other low draw 12V accessory.
Where in the fuse box should I install it?
Use a low priority circuit (cigarette lighter, accessory port, interior lights). Avoid tapping into safety critical circuits like airbags, ABS, or engine control units.
