Common Questions Before You Buy
Brass or aluminum, which should I choose?
Brass for maximum conductivity, corrosion resistance, and long term reliability (best for marine and high humidity environments). Aluminum alloy is lighter and cheaper, ideal for less harsh conditions or where weight matters.
What cable length do I need?
Depends on battery position. 30cm fits most engine bay batteries with nearby disconnect access. 50cm or 1m needed when running cable to a hidden or remote disconnect location.
Why disconnect the battery?
Prevents parasitic drain during long term storage (keeps battery charged for months). Provides safety when doing electrical maintenance. Acts as an anti theft device by killing power.
Will the car lose its radio code or settings?
On older cars, yes (radio codes, clock, station presets may reset). On modern cars with key memory, settings typically restore on reconnection. Have your radio code handy if you have an older vehicle.
Will it fit my battery?
Universal fit for standard automotive post terminals. Most cars, motorcycles, trucks, RVs, and boats are compatible. Side terminal batteries (some GM vehicles) may need an adapter.
